Top Music and Podcasts Apps in Hungary Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the music and podcasts app market in Hungary saw notable trends across the top five applications on the unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android. This analysis provides insights into their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced a dynamic quarter. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at approximately $13K in early November. Downloads increased significantly towards the end of the year, reaching around 13.6K in late December. Active users remained robust, with numbers ranging from 850K to over 900K by December.

The Rádió 1 app saw a decline in downloads, starting from over 10K weekly in early October and dropping to about 1.9K by the end of December. Despite the lack of revenue data, the app maintained its presence among the top apps.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts showed stable download numbers, with a notable increase to 8.7K in late December. Active users varied throughout the quarter, peaking above 487K in early December.

My Online Rádió - Magyar had modest revenue, staying below $400 weekly. Downloads peaked in mid-December at around 4.6K, while active users fluctuated, maintaining an average of around 34K.

Finally, YouTube Music showed strong performance with revenue reaching over $24K in early October. Downloads increased to over 5.1K in late December, and active users remained consistently above 400K, peaking at 465K in late October.
